To Nadav and others dubious about the abuse I’ve reported of Sarah Palin and her infant son:
This law professor from Cornell has done excellent work compiling some examples: http://legalinsurrection.blogspot.com/2009/06/wonkette-goes-after-trig-palin-again.html

I don’t know if those who posted the photo shopped images consider themselves feminists, because they posted anonymously, but I suspect “Wonkette,” who defends their behavior, considers herself a fine feminist.
For links to other specific examples of “feminist” rage and hatred, please see my blog post for today, Wed. August 12th, on this site, or my original piece on the subject, which ran on The Huffington Post, “The Savaging of Sarah Palin.”

Thanks for reading and commenting.

I agree 100% with your strawman argument. Rape threats and ridicule of disabled children represent a new low! I also think that kicking puppies is really mean!

In all seriousness, if you're trying to criticize actual people who did the horrible things you're describing, please tell us who you're talking about. Because I am not aware of anyone who threatened to rape Sarah Palin or anyone in her family, nor am I aware of any ridicule aimed at her disabled infant. I am, however, familiar with many people who criticized (and yes, ridiculed) her inexperience, her arrogance, her embarrassing lack of knowledge about national and global issues, and her incoherent speech. Why should Palin be protected from this kind of criticism?

Also, if you're trying to accuse other women of reinforcing "every nasty stereotype of female bitchiness and cattiness at its worst," you really should provide concrete examples of what you're talking about. Otherwise, you are the one reinforcing these same stereotypes, by making baseless accusations that other women are acting in such a nasty (and stereotypical) way.
